Vision Trips
What to Expect
A Vision Trip offers you a unique opportunity to see how God is at work through church planting in one of North America's least-reached regions.
More than simply a visit, a Vision Trip is an invitation to experience the mission, understand the need, and explore how you can participate in advancing the gospel throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
During your visit, you can expect the following:
Meet the Team
You will spend time with our team and church planters, hear their stories, and get to know what ministry is like on a personal level.
See the Mission
You will visit both current and future church planting sites, learn about the unique cultural context that shapes our approach to ministry, and get a firsthand look at the ministry need here.
A Vision Trip will help you prayerfully consider how your church or ministry can partner with us.
Hear the Story
You will hear the story of how God changed the direction of Calvary Baptist, why Mile One Mission was started, and the vision we have for the next generation.
Catch the Vision
You will understand the spiritual darkness here as you hear the stories and prayer walk the city with us. Lord willing, you will bring home a passion for church planting either here with us or with your home church.
Meet the Team
Relationships are very important to us, we want you to partner with real people, to pray for real people, so over the course of your vision trip you will meet the real people that make up our team.
ArriveWhen you arrive, we pick you up in our van, get you settled in your AirBnB or hotel, and get supper to you.
Team IntroductionThe next day we will introduce you to the team, and you will hear each of our stories.
Lunch BreakIf possible we would like to have lunch with you in our offices.
Dinner FellowshipWe aim to end each day with a cultural experience at one of our favourite local restaurants.
Hear the Story
After meeting the team, our vision trip focuses on telling you our story. This includes the personal stories of each team member, the founding of Mile One Mission, and the spiritual need of our province.

Catch the Vision
Lastly, we hope that you will catch the vision of Mile One Mission. We want you to go home, not only ready to support what God is doing here, but also to see God do a similar work back home in your city.
Pray Over the CityAs you visit sites, you will have great opportunity to pray over the different areas of the city. Please petition God on our behalf.
Pray Over the PlantersYou will spend ample time with each of our planters. We ask that you will boldly ask how you can pray for them, and please over the course of your trip, pray often.
Pray with the TeamOne of our favorite things is the opportunity we get to pray together with each vision trip that comes.
Pray for Your ChurchWe want to pray for you while you’re here. We will pray that God would encourage you through this trip, use your ministry to impact your city as you go home, and that your church would catch the vision of what God is doing here and be stirred up to love and good works by it.
Catch & ShareLastly, as you head home, we ask that you would share what you have just been a part of—tell your church, tell your friends, tell other pastors in your area. You will leave here equipped to tell what God is doing here in Newfoundland & Labrador.
