Our Team

Steve Bray

I was born in Newfoundland and grew up both in Harbour Grace and St. John's. I'm married to my childhood sweetheart Debbie, and we have been blessed with 3 children and an ever growing number of grandchildren.

I have served as the lead Elder of Calvary Baptist Church since 2015 and as the director for Mile One Mission since 2019. My heart is to see men and women trained for the work of the ministry and to see churches planted throughout my province.

Steve Dawe

I am from in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and have been working with Mile One Mission since it began.

I also serve as an elder for Calvary Baptist. My desire is to see the culture of Newfoundland and Labrador rejuvenated as people are transformed through saving faith in Jesus Christ.

I am from Stouffville, Ontario. My husband Paul and I were married in 1997 and moved to Newfoundland in 1998.

We have been a part of the Calvary family for over 20 years and I have been a part of Mile One since it began in 2019. I am passionate to see the younger generation of men and women trained and equipped.

    Acts 29

    Acts 29 is an organization and global network of churches bound together by relationship, theology, and mission. They strive to plant churches worldwide, and they have partnered with us to see more churches planted in Newfoundland & Labrador.

    SCA

    For over 100 years SCA International has developed and implemented programs to promote Gospel Proclamation and Scripture Distribution within Canada. SCA focuses its support on missionaries serving the most rural parts of Canada.

  • 20 Schemes

    20schemes has been a close friend and partner with our ministry since the beginning. In fact, much of our ministry here is modeled after 20schemes. 20schemes exists to see churches planted and people changed in the poorest communities of Scotland (the schemes). The Lord has used 20schemes to reach more than 16 schemes across Scotland so far.
