The work that Mile One Mission is doing in and around St. John's wouldn't be possible without the hard work and dedication of its interns. We are so blessed to have three interns with us.

I was born and raised here in St. John’s Newfoundland and have recently completed a Graduate Diploma of Theology (GDIP) from Union School of Theology (Wales). Calvary has been my church home for the past 4 years and I am incredibly thankful for the biblical preaching, discipleship, and community that God has used here to help me, along with many others, to grow as a disciple of Christ. There is a lot of change going on in my life between getting married this summer, moving out of my parent’s home, finishing school, and starting an internship with Mile One Mission. Through all of this, my hope for life and ministry is to glorify God and make more disciples in this city by His grace. I am very exciting to see what God has planned for Leanne and I, Calvary, Mile One Mission, and our city.

I currently live in St. John’s with my wife, Sabrina, and our two-year-old daughter, Rae-Lynn. We moved to the capital after feeling the desire for church planting grow and having felt like God was calling my wife back to school for her master’s. After a number of things fell into place, we found ourselves in a city that, although has deep religious roots, is quite post-Christian. We feel like, and have already experienced, God moving in the lives of the people in this city. We are both truly excited about what God is accomplishing and will accomplish through Mile One Mission. I have a Bachelor of Theology in Youth Ministry from Vanguard College, while my wife has a Bachelor of Nursing through the Western Regional School of Nursing.
I was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and grew up here for most of my life, but also lived in Doha, Qatar for 5 years. I was raised in a Salvation Army church in Newfoundland and was saved at the age of 14 at a Salvation Army camp. I began attending Calvary Baptist Church full-time in late 2018, and I am grateful for their fellowship and guidance. I just recently graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Music, with a concentration in Music Composition. I am excited to begin my summer internship here at Mile One Mission and to discover what God has planned for me. I believe Newfoundland is a place that desperately needs the Gospel of Jesus, and I’m looking forward to serving with Mile One Mission as they seek to plant churches and serve the people of our province.
I was born and raised 20 minutes outside of St. John’s in the town of Conception Bay South. Iam currently in my third year of Civil Engineering at Memorial University. I have grown up in church my whole life and I started attending Calvary in October of 2017. The Lord allowed me the opportunity to intern here at Mile One Mission this summer, and I am thankful for the opportunity to serve.
There is a huge need for the gospel in this city and I am grateful for the opportunity to help in this small way. This city needs the changing power of the gospel and I believe that Mile One Mission is reaching out to the community in an amazing way to bring the gospel to a city in darkness.
I look forward to serving with Mile One Mission and discerning how the Lord may be calling me into ministry.
