I was born and raised here in St. John’s Newfoundland and have recently completed a Graduate Diploma of Theology (GDIP) from Union School of Theology (Wales). Calvary has been my church home for the past 4 years and I am incredibly thankful for the biblical preaching, discipleship, and community that God has used here to help me, along with many others, to grow as a disciple of Christ. There is a lot of change going on in my life between getting married this summer, moving out of my parent’s home, finishing school, and starting an internship with Mile One Mission. Through all of this, my hope for life and ministry is to glorify God and make more disciples in this city by His grace. I am very exciting to see what God has planned for Leanne and I, Calvary, Mile One Mission, and our city.

I was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland and grew up here for most of my life, but also lived in Doha, Qatar for 5 years. I was raised in a Salvation Army church in Newfoundland and was saved at the age of 14 at a Salvation Army camp. I began attending Calvary Baptist Church full-time in late 2018, and I am grateful for their fellowship and guidance. I just recently graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a Bachelor of Music, with a concentration in Music Composition. I am excited to begin my summer internship here at Mile One Mission and to discover what God has planned for me. I believe Newfoundland is a place that desperately needs the Gospel of Jesus, and I’m looking forward to serving with Mile One Mission as they seek to plant churches and serve the people of our province.

I was born and raised in Belize, a country in Central America with strong cultural ties to the Caribbean. I have been living in St. John’s Newfoundland for about 3 years now, studying towards a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Memorial University. Moving to a new country, and a new school was very daunting but as my family advised me, I searched for a church family that is welcoming, shares the love of God in the community and focuses its teaching in the Bible. By God’s grace I was able to find my Newfoundland church family at Calvary and have been attending for a little over two years now. Ever since I was a young girl, my family has been involved in church ministries, and so to have the opportunity to work with Mile One Mission is very thrilling for me. I am excited to see how God will use me in this ministry and especially how He will use Mile One Mission to reach the people of Newfoundland.
